Fact, women are physically different to men (really?) So in the same way that you wouldn’t wear a man’s suit in order to get the perfect fit. Why should you have to settle for an ill fitting man’s bike? This is why here at Summer we design our frames using Female Specific Geometry (FSG) creating a more natural and comfortable riding position which is adapted to your anatomy. Simply put, women have a different pelvic structure and power delivery to the pedals so our FSG places you in a riding position that maximises both comfort and pedalling efficiency. Generally our FSG bikes differ from a regular (man’s) frame by having a shorter top tube, a taller headtube, lower standover height and a steeper seat angle. All of these characteristics combine to give you the rider the level of performance you deserve.
This helps a womans body to be postioned higher. Reducing pressure on the tail bone creating a more natural and comfortable riding position which is adapted to your anatomy
Women naturally have shorter arms and body than men, a shorter top tube increases comfort and control.
We have increased the seat tube angle to compensate womens longer femur. This gives the rider an improved position over the bottom bracket.
